Kids @ Play 2020 - Extended Day Afternoon (5:00 - 5:30)
COVID 19 Update - We are limiting capacity to about 50% currently. The state guidelines require small groups (there can be multiple small groups spread out) We're hoping to be able to expand to more small groups, but we are only committing to the 50% for right now.We will not be able to accept walkins this year. The requiremnt for groups is going to require substantial planning in advance of each day, so any child must be signed up by 10pm the night before in order to be admitted to the program that day. **We are currently working on a plan to operate this summer in a safe and responsible way. We are cutting field trips for this summer as it introduces several complexities from hiring transportation to going out in public in large groups. More details will follow, but we are planning on running for the full summer! As of this moment, we are still anticipating that the "Lunch with Leaders" will still happen.At Upton Rec, we love to have fun. Playing games, swimming, boating, crafts, whatever! While many of these activities will have positive effects, such as increasing physical health and inspiring creativity, a leader is looking for more. Next Gen 01568 is our Leader in Training program, designed to give the desired education and experience to set you up to become one of the new generation of leaders. Weather in the business world, the civic world, or simply volunteer work, there are several core values to leadership. Our Leader in training program is build on the mindset that there are three pillars to leadership. These pillars are made up of core values in Personal traits, Relational capabilities, and Professional excellence. In this program, we will dig in to these concepts and work to help you understand what these are and how you can develop them. One of the top ways that we do this is through our “lunch with Leaders” program. Over the course of the summer, we will do some Friday lunches with local leaders. You will get to hear from them what their path to leadership was and what leadership means to them in their professional role and in their personal life.We strongly believe that everyone is a leader to some extent. Our actions influence and impact others around us. Having an official title is not a requirement for leadership. Because of this, we feel that it is important for everyone to understand what is required for good leadership, and that is why we run this program.Several of our current staff started out in this program, and over the years, I’m sure we will see many more progress through the staffing levels of the program. Who knows, maybe someday you will run this program yourselves!Weekly Pricing: $165 per Week$50 daily option availableField Trips vary from $20-$40 (generally same trips as Kids @ Play)

Next Gen 01568 is our Leader in Training program, designed to give the desired education and experience to set you up to become one of the new generation of leaders. Weather in the business world, the civic world, or simply volunteer work, there are several core values to leadership. Our Leader in training program is build on the mindset that there are three pillars to leadership. These pillars are made up of core values in Personal traits, Relational capabilities, and Professional excellence. In this program, we will dig in to these concepts and work to help you understand what these are and how you can develop them. One of the top ways that we do this is through our “lunch with Leaders” program. Over the course of the summer, we will do some Friday lunches with local leaders. You will get to hear from them what their path to leadership was and what leadership means to them in their professional role and in their personal life.We strongly believe that everyone is a leader to some extent. Our actions influence and impact others around us. Having an official title is not a requirement for leadership. Because of this, we feel that it is important for everyone to understand what is required for good leadership, and that is why we run this program.Several of our current staff started out in this program, and over the years, I’m sure we will see many more progress through the staffing levels of the program. Next Gen 01568 is our Leader in Training program, designed to give the desired education and experience to set you up to become one of the new generation of leaders. Weather in the business world, the civic world, or simply volunteer work, there are several core values to leadership. Our Leader in training program is build on the mindset that there are three pillars to leadership. These pillars are made up of core values in Personal traits, Relational capabilities, and Professional excellence. In this program, we will dig in to these concepts and work to help you understand what these are and how you can develop them. One of the top ways that we do this is through our “lunch with Leaders” program. Over the course of the summer, we will do some Friday lunches with local leaders. You will get to hear from them what their path to leadership was and what leadership means to them in their professional role and in their personal life.We strongly believe that everyone is a leader to some extent. Our actions influence and impact others around us. Having an official title is not a requirement for leadership. Because of this, we feel that it is important for everyone to understand what is required for good leadership, and that is why we run this program.Several of our current staff started out in this program, and over the years, I’m sure we will see many more progress through the staffing levels of the program. (Leader in Training) program for 7+8th grade! (see L.I.T. Page for more information)When Kids arrive in the morning, they will be presented with a schedule of activities running during the day. These activities will include all the favorites such as fishing, kayaking, arts and crafts, sports, and all sorts of crazy games and activities. Some activities run multiple times (such as kayaking) since there is a limited number of spots each time. Our goal is that your kids get the freedom to choose the activities that they will have the most fun with! We take suggestions from kids (and parents) when it comes to making the schedules to make sure that we incorporate plenty of variety while still ensuring that favorite activities get plenty of representation.The 2020 Pricing is:$225 per week ($210 for second child, $180 3rd+ children)Daily Options will be available to sign up for starting April 1st. Pricing will be $50 per day ($45 for second child, $40 for 3rd+ children)The program runs from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with drop off from 8:00am- 9:00am and pickup from 4:00pm - 5:00pm.There will also be an extended day option available for sign-up that will allow drop of as early as 7:30 and pickup as late as 5:30.

As of this moment, we are still anticipating that the "Lunch with Leaders" will still happen.At Upton Rec, we love to have fun. Playing games, swimming, boating, crafts, whatever! While many of these activities will have positive effects, such as increasing physical health and inspiring creativity, a leader is looking for more. Next Gen 01568 is our Leader in Training program, designed to give the desired education and experience to set you up to become one of the new generation of leaders. Weather in the business world, the civic world, or simply volunteer work, there are several core values to leadership. Our Leader in training program is build on the mindset that there are three pillars to leadership. These pillars are made up of core values in Personal traits, Relational capabilities, and Professional excellence. In this program, we will dig in to these concepts and work to help you understand what these are and how you can develop them. One of the top ways that we do this is through our “lunch with Leaders” program. Over the course of the summer, we will do some Friday lunches with local leaders. You will get to hear from them what their path to leadership was and what leadership means to them in their professional role and in their personal life.We strongly believe that everyone is a leader to some extent. Our actions influence and impact others around us. Having an official title is not a requirement for leadership. Because of this, we feel that it is important for everyone to understand what is required for good leadership, and that is why we run this program.Several of our current staff started out in this program, and over the years, I’m sure we will see many more progress through the staffing levels of the program. COVID 19 Update - We are limiting capacity to about 50% currently. The state guidelines require small groups (there can be multiple small groups spread out) We're hoping to be able to expand to more small groups, but we are only committing to the 50% for right now.We will not be able to accept walkins this year. The requiremnt for groups is going to require substantial planning in advance of each day, so any child must be signed up by 10pm the night before in order to be admitted to the program that day. **We are currently working on a plan to operate this summer in a safe and responsible way.
